Kvirikashvili said he was happy to be in Baku on his first official visit to Azerbaijan. He stressed the importance of expanding cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

Aliyev described Kvirikashvili`s first visit to Azerbaijan as foreign minister as a good sign of friendly and brotherly relations between the two countries.

Stressing the need for boosting Azerbaijan-Georgia cooperation in the political, economic, humanitarian and other areas, President Aliyev noted the significance of this cooperation for the implementation of large-scale transport, energy and economic projects connecting the two countries.
