Queen Kudryavtseva gracefully trounces her rivals

Russia's Yana Kudryavtseva left all rivals in her gold dust as she won three Rhythmic Gymnastics titles in the apparatus finals on Sunday.

Kudryavtseva, who won the individual all-around gold earlier at the Baku 2015 European Games, understated her graceful trouncing of her rivals.

She won all three of the finals she entered by margins ranging from 0.650 to 0.800 points.

"I can’t judge myself, only the audience and judges can," said the 17-year-old, who collected gold in ball (18.950), clubs (19.200) and ribbon (19.000).

"Today, I did everything precisely, so I got consistent scores."

Fellow Russian Margarita Mamun, the only gymnast to outscore Kudryavtseva by qualifying over her for the hoop final, reaffirmed herself by taking that apparatus gold with 18.850.

"The main thing was that the audience and my coach were satisfied with me," Mamun said. "I made some mistakes, but I tried not to show them."

Individual all-around bronze medallist Melitina Staniouta of Belarus upped her Games medal tally to four by winning silver in hoop, and bronze in ball and clubs.

As matchless as Kudryavtseva was in Baku, she has more on her agenda.

"I am happy with today's performance, but there is no limit to your potential," she said. "My mission is to develop my skills."
