Azerbaijan cuts oil production in Jan-July; gas output jumps

Azerbaijan pumped 24.5 million tons of crude oil in the first seven months of 2015, down 1.8 percent year on year, according to the State Statistics Committee in Baku.
Production of marketable natural gas rose 10.6 percent to 12 billion cubic meters, the committee said.
Azerbaijan has seen its oil production decline since 2010 when it peaked at 51 million tons.
The country produced 41.9 million tons of oil last year and 43.1 million tons in 2013, according to the State Statistics Committee.
