Police officer shot in Baku

An armed incident occurred in Baku.

The incident occurred on 26 October at the territory of Khatai district, APA reports. 

An employee of the Police Department of Khatai district was shot. He was taken to the hospital.

According to law enforcement, detective of the Police Department of Khatai district, a senior police lieutenant Iltifat Bayramov was in the service along with several police officers when an unknown person opened fire on them with a pistol.

One of the bullets hit Bayramov. The victim was taken to the hospital of the Ministry of Interior.

As a result of the activities, the shooter Yevgeny Antonov was arrested. The crime arms "Revolver" was sezied from him.

The investigation was launched.
