Azercell’s two social projects receive awards

 

Azerbaijan's leading mobile operator Azercell Telecom LLC has received an award by the American Chamber of Commerce in Azerbaijan (AmCham). 

Two initiatives by Azercell within the program of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) received the majority of votes by AmCham Selection Committee. 

Among the CSR projects submitted to the contest, The activity of Barama Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center took the second place in the category of "Economic power.  Also Azercell’s support to Children Paralympic Committee in the category of "Culture” received special attention.”

Barama Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center established in the auspices of Azercell and having made lots of achievements done much in identifying talented youth and supporting their initiatives. So far, Barama has realized tens of projects and some young individuals have set their own businesses. 

During the years of its operation, Azercell worked hard to support orphans and children with various problems, as well as protection of health, quality education and living healthy life-style. Following project is incentive for the children in the Paralympic Committee to integrate to the society and strive for new victories.         

Joining over 260 organizations AmCham conducts this assessment in order to find out best CRS initiatives and stimulate such activities. It should be noted that Azercell was awarded by the same organization for its social activities.
