Aliyev says Belarus' stability is formula for country's success

"The public and political stability in Belarus is the main parameter measuring the country's success and a firm guarantee that this success will be continued. We, as your friends, are happy with such developments in your country,” said Ilham Aliyev. In his words, Belarus has managed to do it amid the current difficult times. 

"The economic crisis in many countries is overlapped with the political crisis and even military-political crisis. We live in the period of confrontations which dictates us a new approach to addressing international issues,” the Azerbaijan President noted. 

For Azerbaijan Belarus is a friendly and brotherly state, Ilham Aliyev said and expressed confidence that the current visit would add impetus to the bilateral relations. The two countries enjoy good relations at the highest level. "Over the years of active cooperation which started more than 10 years ago I think we have tried each other in various situations and have seen our stability and reliability. We have never let each other down,” Ilham Aliyev stressed.
