SOCAR Cape JV awarded BP services contract in Azerbaijan

Energy services company Cape plc saidTuesday that its SOCAR Cape joint venture has been awarded a two year extension contract by BP for the provision of fabric maintenance services at the energy major’s onshore and offshore assets in Azerbaijan. 

Commenting on the deal, Joe Oatley, chief executive of Cape, said in a company statement: "We are delighted to announce the award of this contract extension which demonstrates BP's confidence in the quality and efficiency of the services provided by our SOCAR Cape joint venture." 

The services contract has an estimated value of over $90 million.
