Azerbaijan to increase gas exports to Georgia
14.01.2016 15:00
Azerbaijan is going to increase natural gas exports to Georgia, said Mahir Mammadov, head of SOCAR’s Georgia unit.

The exports will be increased to 7 million cubic meters a day from the current 6 million cubic meters a day, Mammadov told reporters in the Georgian capital.

SOCAR executives, including CEO Rovnaq Abdullayev, held talks with Georgian officials in Tbilisi on Wednesday.

Azerbaijan currently provides almost 87 percent of Georgia’s need for gas.

Georgia is in talks with Gazprom to resume Russian gas imports into the country.
