President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree to increase pensions, state news agency Azartac said.

According to the decree, the basic state pension will be increased to 110 manat (70 manat) from 100 manat as of Feb. 1.

Aliyev also decreed to increase monthly allowances paid to IDPs (internally displaced persons) from the Karabakh war by 10 percent.

The decree comes as consumer prices climbed after the devaluation of the national currency last month.
