When Lionel Messi scored for Barcelona against Atletico Madrid, it brought up a truly stunning stat with he and Cristiano Ronaldo having combined for a staggering 1,000 career goals.
Of course, as is the way with anything involving the pair, their respective records had to be scrutinised and compared on social media.
