Azerbaijan's Central Bank sells $31 million to three lenders

Azerbaijan’s Central Bank sold $31 million to three local lenders in an auction on Wednesday.

The Central Bank offered $200 million but the demand was too low, it said.

The regulator burned through $600 million of its reserves last month to support manat.

The Central Bank’s foreign currency reserves fell to $4.4 billion as of Jan. 31.
