Azerbaijan oil output down 2.8 pct y/y to 3.5m t in January

Azerbaijan's oil output fell by 2.8 percent year-on-year in January to 3.5 million tonnes, a source in the statistics committee said on Thursday.

The source also said that Azerbaijan increased its output of natural gas in January to 2.56 billion cubic metres, from 2.49 billion cubic metres in January 2015.

In 2015 as a whole Azerbaijan produced 41.7 million tonnes of oil and 29.7 billion cubic metres of gas. In 2016 it plans to produce 41 million tonnes of oil and 29 billion cubic metres of gas.
