EBRD president to visit Azerbaijan in June

The president of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Suma Chakrabarti, will visit Baku in June, Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Shahin Mustafayev said on Feb. 15.
Chakrabarti met Mustafayev last week in London.
The EBRD president said that he attaches great importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan and supports the ongoing reforms in the country.
"Measures being taken in Azerbaijan are very important and positive,” said Chakrabarti.
In turn, the Azerbaijani minister said that business and investment opportunities in Azerbaijan will be presented to investors within the framework of the EBRD regular annual meeting to be held in London May 11-12, 2016.
EBRD has so far allocated 2.8 billion euros to Azerbaijan for implementation of around 161 projects.
