Azerbaijan's State Oil Fund sells $177.5 million to local banks

Azerbaijan’s State Oil Fund (Sofaz) sold $177.45 million to 13 local banks in an auction on Monday, the fund said.

Sofaz offered $200 million during the auction, which was organized by the Central Bank.

The fund buys manat to transfer to the state budget.

The Central Bank also sells dollars to support the national currency.
