Montenegro interested in expanding cooperation with SOCAR

Official Podgorica is interested in expanding its cooperation with SOCAR, Azerbaijan's state oil company, Montenegro's President Filip Vujanovic said during his meeting with Azeri President Ilham Aliyev in Baku.

Vujanovic praised the investments that SOCAR made into Montenegro, pointing at the good opportunities present to expand economic ties.

He also remarked that his country deems its participation in the Southern Gas Corridor project, as very important, pointing out the significance of the project in terms of further development of interregional cooperation.

Aliyev, for his part, expressed satisfaction with the current level of the Azerbaijan-Montenegro relations, adding that the two sides have been working to expand their cooperation in the area of investment.
