New iPhone and iPad coming soon

Apple has just announced a major event on March 21st and are expected to unveil a number of new products including a smaller iPhone and new iPad.

The US tech giant has just sent out an invite with the words "Let us loop you in".

We're guessing this cryptic message could mean the firm will be launching a range of new Apple Watch straps alongside its other devices.

If all the rumours are right Apple's new smartphone could be called iPhone SE.

The hotly-anticipated device could carry a smaller four-inch display and resemble a tweaked iPhone 5S, rather than an entirely new design.

Apple is also expected to bump up the camera capabilities, bringing it inline with later models. 3D Touch is not believed to have made the cut as this will help distinguish the iPhone SE from the company's flagship iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus models.

Alongside its new smartphone, Apple is also expected to unveil a new iPad.

This new 9.7-inch tablet looks set to be a mini versions of Apple's iPad Pro and include better speakers, Apple Pencil support and the Smart Connector, which is used to connect the tablet to a keyboard.
