Azerbaijani president due to visit Cairo

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will pay an official visit to Egypt shortly, Egyptian Higher Education Minister Ashraf El-Sheihy told Interfax on Tuesday.


"Every aspect of Azerbaijani-Egyptian cooperation will be discussed during the visit," he said.


Azerbaijan and Egypt have a close and friendly relationship, in particular, in the field of education, El-Sheihy said.


The minister said that the visit would be paid at the invitation of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
