Azerbaijan, Turkey leaders discuss Nagorno-Karabakh developments
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan have discussed recent events and current developments in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, the Azerbaijani leader's website said on Wednesday.
Aliyev arrived in Istanbul to take part in the Organization for Islamic Cooperation summit.
"The sides highly assessed development of Azerbaijani-Turkish friendly relations in all spheres," the statement said, adding that further stepping up of strategic cooperation was discussed. "The parties stressed the importance of mutual cooperation in global energy projects and other spheres."
