Iran communications minister to visit Azerbaijan 20 Apr

Iranian Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mahmoud Vaezi [Mahmud Va'ezi] will visit Azerbaijan on Wednesday [20 April] to examine the implementation of previously signed MoUs between the two countries.


As the Iranian head of Iran-Azerbaijan Joint Economic Commission, Vaezi will meet and discuss with Azerbaijan's economic officials on his visit to the Eurasian country.


Iran's minister will be accompanied by economic and industrial activists in public and private sectors.


During the visit, Vaezi and Azeri officials will open the project of Astara-Astara [as received] railway line connecting the railways of the two countries, as well as construction of Railway Bridge over the river of Araxes.


With the implementation of the North-South Corridor project, the northern countries of the Caspian Sea will reach the Persian Gulf through Iran and Iran's relation will be possible through this route, with these countries and Europe.
