Mammadyarov calls for start of comprehensive political process to settle Karabakh conflict

A comprehensive political process needs to be launched in order to settle the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has said.


"The armed forces of Armenia should be withdrawn from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan in order to resolve the conflict. It is necessary to put an end to the fact of the military occupation and start a comprehensive political process," Mammadyarov said at a meeting with Spanish Foreign Minister Manuel Garcia-Margallo, according to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry's press service.
