Baku hosts 4th Congress of World Azerbaijanis

The 4th Congress of World Azerbaijanis has kicked off in Baku June 3. 

 

The two-day congress is being attended by more than 500 representatives of Azerbaijani diaspora organizations from 49 countries as well as other guests including prominent foreign politicians, public figures, scientists, high-ranking officials and MPs known for their friendly attitude towards Azerbaijan. Along with foreign guests, a delegation comprising 360 representatives of the Azerbaijani state and government organizations, non-governmental organizations, scientific, educational-cultural institutions and political parties joined the congress.

 

The congress will continue with panel sessions. The participants will then exchange their views on duties lying ahead as to informing the world community of Azerbaijani realities, use of modern methods and information technologies in raising awareness, current problems relating to protection of Azerbaijanis’ rights and freedoms, and possible solutions to these problems and other issues.

 

A number of documents will be adopted at the end of the congress. The congress will end on June 4.
