Rule on Tax Free enters into force in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree on approval of the "Rule on refund of VAT paid by foreigners and stateless persons for goods purchased in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan and not intended for production or commercial purposes”.

APA-Economics reports that under the decree, the rule on refund of VAT paid by foreigners and stateless persons for goods purchased in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan and not intended for production or commercial purposes will be specified by relevant executive authority.
 
The aim of tax free system is the organization and promotion of the acquisition of goods and products by foreigners in Azerbaijan’s territory, to attract tourists and increase turnover.
