Azerbaijan exports of LNG fall by 22.4% in January-May

Azerbaijan in January-May 2016 exported 12,579 tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG), which is 22.4% less than in the same period of last year, the government told Interfax.


The total cost of exported LNG amounted to $2.363 million, down 0.3%.


According to the government's forecasts, 267,500 tonnes of LNG will be produced in 2016.


In 2015 Azerbaijan exported 36,744 tonnes of LNG for $6.374 million.
