Azerbaijani customs prevent transit of over 140kg of heroin to Georgia

Azerbaijani customs officers have found over 140 kilograms of heroin in a car traveling to Georgia, the press service of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan said.


"Officers of the Astara customs department have found 141.156 kilograms of heroin in a DAF car traveling from Iran with a Tajik citizen at the wheel. The driver said in a preliminary interview that he was traveling to Georgia through Azerbaijan," the committee said.
