Azerbaijan reduces gas exports to Turkey 2.3% in H1

 Azerbaijan exported 3.255 billion cubic meters ( bcm) of gas to Turkey in January-June 2016, 2.3% less than in the same period last year, Turkey's Energy Market Supervisory Board (EPDK) said in materials.


Azerbaijan exported 519.14 million cubic meters of gas to Turkey in June. Azerbaijan accounted for 18.9% of pipeline gas supplies to Turkey, with the rest coming from Iran and Russia.


Azerbaijan supplied 6.169 bcm of gas to Turkey in 2015.


Azerbaijan exports gas to Turkey, as well as Georgia, via the under the first stage of the Shah Deniz project. The South Caucasus Pipeline, which is 690 kilometers long, with 442 kilometers on the territory of Azerbaijan and 248 kilometers on that of Georgia, was built to export of Azerbaijani gas to Turkey.
