Azerbaijani ambassador visits ACCI President, expresses concern about SOCAR-DESFA deal

Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Greece Rahman Mustafayev on Wednesday paid a visit to the head of the Union of Hellenic Chambers and president of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) Constantine Michalos, expressing concern about whether a deal between Hellenic Gas Transmission System Operator (DESFA) and Azerbaijan's energy giant SOCAR will be concluded.


According to an ACCI announcement, Michalos assured Mustafayev that the Greek business community wants good relations between the two countries to be maintained and noted that a cancellation of the agreement would be certain to greatly impact the positive business environment that has been created by promoting the two countries' business ties.
