TURKPA to observe constitutional referendum in Azerbaijan

The TURKPA International Observers Mission will conduct a short-term monitoring of the Referendum on the Changes to the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan to be held on September 26, 2016 following an invitation from the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The mission will be comprised of parliamentarians from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, as well as of the TURKPA Secretariat.
On voting day, members of the mission will visit several polling stations in Baku.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed an order to hold a referendum on amending the country’s constitution September 26, 2016.
