Teacher's knowledge in Azerbaijani districts will be assessed

Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Education will hold the diagnostic assessment of the knowledge and skills of teachers in 26 districts of the country in November-December this year.
The diagnostic assessment to be held in Lankaran, Astara, Lerik, Yardimli, Bilesuvar, Salyan, Neftchala, Gusar, Guba, Siyazan, Shabran, Khizi, Gobustan, Shamakhi, Ismayilli, Aghsu, Kurdemir, Ujar, Zerdab, Agjabedi, Shamkir, Goygol, Dashkesen, Samukh, Gedebey and Shusha district will involve teachers and military training leaders working with an employment contract in public educational institutions, the Ministry of Education told APA on Oct. 17.
Workload and salary of teachers will be increased in accordance with the results of the diagnostic assessment of knowledge and skills, and teachers will be involved in development trainings.
Teachers who work in districts and cities where diagnostic assessment was held in 2015 and who have been unable to take part in the assessment, or who have been employed newly, will be allowed to participate in the assessment.
About 60,000 teachers working in public educational institutions in Baku and 12 districts were put to the test in the past two years and their weekly work loads were increased 1.5 times and their salary twice. After the next assessment test is over, the number of teachers with increased salary will reach 100,000.
