Iranian warships docks in Baku

‘Damavand’ and ‘Joshan’ warships of the Iranian naval forces entered Baku as part of a friendly visit October 19, said a message posted on the website of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry October 19.

The visit will last till October 21, the message said.

According to the message, the Iranian delegation will visit the grave of Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honor, as well as Alley of Martyrs as part of the visit.

The Iranian delegation, headed by 1st rank captain Abdulhuseyn Zafari, is planned to meet with the command of the Azerbaijani naval forces, visit the Heydar Aliyev Azerbaijan High Military School and participate in other events, the message said.

According to the message, it is also planned to organize a walk in Baku for the military personnel of the warships to be acquainted with cultural and historical monuments, as well as to hold a friendly soccer match.
