29.05.2020 07:04
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) officially recognized the Gülenist Terror Group (FETO) as a terrorist organization, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu announced Wednesday, Daily Sabah reported.

The FM expressed Turkey's appreciation to the OIC by sharing a tweet on his official Twitter account saying that, "Express our thanks to Organization of Islamic Cooperation that showed solidarity and announced FETO as a terrorist organization."

Cavusoglu shared the tweet in Uzbekistan, where he went on Tuesday to attend the 43rd Foreign Ministers Council of the OIC to hold official talks and speak about the FETO threat.

At the preparatory meeting in Jeddah, the draft resolution was approved by all OIC member-state representatives present except that of Egypt, who expressed Cairo’s reservations to the move citing "legal reasons".

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov also attended the session.
