Azerbaijani communications market grows 5.5% in 9M

Communications and postal services in Azerbaijan grew 5.5% year-on-year in January-September 2016 to 1.171 billion manat, the State Statistics Committee said.


Enterprises operating in the private sector generated 81.5% of revenue. Services to individuals accounted for 72.5% of the total, down 4% year-on-year to 849.27 million manat.


The three cellular operators Azercell Telecom, Bakcell and Azerfon provided 52.3% of all communications services, falling 6.9% to 612.1 million manat.
