Gazprom expects reduction in gas supply to Turkey

Gazprom expects a reduction in supply of gas to Turkey by 9.2 percent to 24.5 billion cubic meters in 2016, said the Russian company’s deputy chairman, Alexander Medvedev, RIA Novosti reported Oct. 26.
The supply in 2017 is expected to hit 25.1 billion cubic meters of gas
"Turkey is the second foreign market for Gazprom after Germany. We exported
27 billion cubic meters of gas to that country in 2015,” Medvedev said.

"We supply gas abroad and then it goes to local companies, including gas distribution enterprises. The work with end consumers is under their jurisdiction,” Medvedev said.
He added that Gazprom is interested in participating in Turkey’s power generation projects on certain terms.
