Egypt, Iraq discuss joint cooperation in oil sector

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek el-Molla discussed, during an Iraq visit, with Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi means of boosting joint cooperation in the fields of oil and natural gas and establishing an Egyptian-Iraqi partnership, according to Arabfinance.

Egypt's Ambassador to Iraq Ahmed Darwish and the delegation accompanying Molla attended the meeting that was held in Baghdad on Saturday 29/10/2016.

The Iraqi premier stressed the importance of fostering cooperation between Egypt and Iraq along with other countries in the region.

Molla congratulated the Iraqi prime minister over the victories achieved by Iraqi army forces against Daesh terrorists, saying that Egypt supports Iraq.

Molla arrived on Saturday evening in Baghdad coming from Jordan's capital, Amman, for talks on joint cooperation with Iraqi officials.
