Azerbaijan offers special privileges for foreign businessmen and women who are planning to live and work in the country.

 

The amendments have been proposed to be the Migration Code, the parliament told APA.

 

The addition proposed for Article 45 (cases when permit for temporary residence in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan is issued to foreigners and stateless persons) of the Code, foreigners and stateless persons who hold the position of head or deputy head of a legal entity which has been founded in Azerbaijan and whose founder or at least one of whose founders is a foreign individual or legal entity, shall be granted permit for temporary residence in Azerbaijan.

 

 The addition proposed for Article 64 (cases where work permit is not required), experts on categories determined by a concerned executive power, who have been invited by Azerbaijani citizens or legal entities founded in Azerbaijan to do works and services in certain areas of activities determined by a concerned executive authority, shall not be required to obtain permit.

 

The draft amendments will be tabled at the parliament’s plenary session on Nov.11.
