Russia’s Tyumen province (oblast) plans to increase supplies of equipment for Azerbaijan’s oil and gas industry, Vladimir Yakushev, the province’s governor, said at the Caspian European Club (CEIBC) meeting Nov. 2.

Cooperation between the machine building industry, based in Tyumen, and Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR was the main topic discussed at the meeting with SOCAR, Yakushev said.

"Our goal is to expand presence in the Azerbaijani market,” said the governor.

Tyumen oil and gas machine building enterprises supply such products as fence fittings, submersible cables, pumps used in oil production and others, to Azerbaijan, Yakushev noted.

"This is a broad spectrum of equipment necessary for production and transportation of hydrocarbons,” the governor added.
