SOCAR boosts drilling volumes by 1.4% in 10M

Drilling installations of State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) increased drilling volumes by 1.4% year-on-year in January-October 2016 to 93,657 meters, SOCAR told Interfax.


Production drilling accounted for 90,987 meters of total drilling volumes, exploration drilling - 2,670 meters.


In October 2016, drilling volumes amounted to 7,074 meters, of which production drilling accounted for 6,469 meters and exploration - 605 meters.


In the 10M SOCAR's drilling objects commissioned 52 new wells, and six were commissioned in October alone.


It was reported earlier that SOCAR's drilling installations in 2015 reduced drilling by 18% in comparison with 2014 to 104,411 meters.
