Azeris queue to buy decoders as analogue broadcasts stop

For the second day running, a decoding rush has been going on in Azerbaijan. It has to do with the ceasing of analogue broadcasts in the country. However, those who have TV sets of old generation have not acquired decoding devices in advance to watch digital programmes.


The Ministry of Communications has announced that the decoding devices can be purchased in post offices for 22 manats [13 dollars] and the population rushed to buy them. However, many post offices have no idea about decoding devices, while in others with limited supply of the devices, there are long queues of buyers.
