Azerbaijan's LNG exports down 3% in Jan-Sept

Azerbaijan exported 29,158 tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in January-September 2016, down 3.1% compared to the same period in 2015, the government told Interfax.


The total cost of exported LNG amounted to $6.169 million, up 15.9%.


According to the government's forecasts, Azerbaijan will produce 267,500 tonnes of LNG in 2016.


In 2015 Azerbaijan exported 43,594 tonnes of LNG for $7.440 million.


Liquefied gas is produced at the Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery and at Azerbaijan's gas processing plant.
