Azerbaijan considers buying shares of Georgia’s GOGC
29.11.2016 14:30
Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR is ready to consider obtaining shares of the Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation (GOGC), if the share for sale is officially announced, a source in SOCAR told Trend Nov. 28.

The newly appointed Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili said earlier at a meeting of the parliament that the Georgian parliament is ready to sell 25 percent per each the assets of the state-owned companies – Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation and Georgian Railways.

GOGC is the operator of the North-South gas pipeline, via which Russian gas is delivered to Georgia and Armenia.
