90,000 Azerbaijani students get education in Russian

"There are over 300 secondary schools in the country where the teaching process is conducted in Russian language. 90,000 students are receiving education in Russian language, while 450,000 learn it as foreign language in Azerbaijan,” Minister of Education Mikayil Jabbarov has told a press conference, according to AzerTag.

He said that over 70 per cent of all the major professions are taught in Russian language at Azerbaijani universities. "Branches of two leading universities of Russia - Lomonosov Moscow State University and the first Moscow State Medical University after Sechenov are operating in the country,” Jabbarov added.
