Azerbaijan will create joint ventures in defense industry in 2017-2018, according to the Strategic Road Map for the development of heavy industry and machinery in Azerbaijan approved by the presidential decree Dec. 6 and published Dec. 20 in the country’s official press.
It is noted that negotiations will be held with the manufacturers of defense industry products imported into Azerbaijan, proposals will be made to foreign investors to establish a full cycle of manufacturing of products which are not produced in Azerbaijan, and the next steps will be planned on this basis.
