Azerbaijan boosts gas exports to Turkey by 6% in 11M

Аzerbaijan exported 5.885 billion cubic meters ( bcm) of gas to Turkey in January-November 2016 as part of Stage 1 of the development of the Shah Deniz field, which is 5.6% more than in the same period of 2015.


According to the council for regulating the Turkish energy market (Enerji Piyasasi Duzenleme Kurumu, EPDK), in November 2016 Azerbaijan exported 576.76 million cubic members of gas to Turkey. In total, Azerbaijan's share in gas supplies to Turkey via pipelines in the reporting month was 15.1%, the remaining volumes were supplies from Iran and Russia.


According to the EPDK, in 2015 supplies of Azerbaijani gas to Turkey amounted to 6.169 bcm.
