“FEMMES DIGITALES” organizes the “AWITA 2017” awarding ceremony

The Women in IT Awards, technology’s largest diversity event in Azerbaijan organized by Azerbaijani Women in ICT (AWIC) "FEMMES DIGITALES” Club, will gather 300 of Azerbaijan’s most prominent IT leaders on January 26, 2017 at Baku’s Mugham 

The event will showcase the achievements and innovation of women in technology over the last 12 months, identifying new role models and promoting further dialogue around diversity among industry influencers.

The various government structures, leading ICT companies and organizations, as well as the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassadors of different countries accredited in Azerbaijan, will attend the Award ceremony. 
 
The judges to review all of the finalists’ in 15 nominations. The Jury staff is represented by successful men, representing the leading private ICT structures, well-known universities, media, government institutions and etc.  

During the ceremony the following nominations will be presented: 

The Innovator of the year; Startup of the year; Deployment of the year; Founder, CEO or CIO of the year; Digital leader of the year; Hero of IT; Transformation of the year; Woman of the year; Developer of the year; Employer of the year; Judges Choice; Rural and Remote Contribution in IT; IT teacher of the year; IT community/IT education program/IT education project; IT student of the year.

To be qualified for Award, the applicants must be not younger than 18 years and to have residential status in Azerbaijan Republic.

About Club FEMMES DIGITALES:

Azerbaijan Women in ICT Club – FEMMES DIGITALES is a non-profit organization established in 2014 with a goal to get more women excited about technology and IT. FEMMES DIGITALES has been designed to be an advocate for women who are currently working for technology companies and for those that may work for business in other market sectors working with technology in their roles. The mission of the Club is to bring together stakeholders from the business sector, the government, the academia and from non-governmental organizations, giving the opportunity to support and to work for increasing the women’s professional participation in the sphere of ICT, as well as to take part in the development of technological and engineering products.
