Foreign workers in Azerbaijan’s energy sector make up 8-10 percent

State Migration Service is paying attention to involvement of foreign workers in Azerbaijan. As a state service, we are mostly trying to provide Azerbaijanis with jobs, Chief of the State Migration Service, II rank state migration service counselor Firudin Nabiyev said at the meeting with the members of the Caspian-European Integration Business Club (CEIBC), APAreports.

He said the foreigners are provided with jobs in Azerbaijan on the basis of quote: "They are provided with jobs when there are not vacancies for Azerbaijani citizens. The quote has already declined. Foreign workers in energy sector declined to 8-10% while they made up 30-35% in 2012. This is due to the fact that Azerbaijan-based companies place emphasis on staff training. We pay particular attention to this issue”
