Azerbaijan MPs are invited to Kyrgyzstan to monitor presidential vote

Speaker of Kyrgyz Parliament Chynybai Tursunbekov met with the Speaker of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan Ogtay Asadov.The meeting took place in Istanbul, Turkey on May 23 as part of Tursunbekov's official trip to Istanbul, the press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament said Wednesday.

 

Inter-parliamentary cooperation between the countries serves as the bridge of friendship between two fraternal nations, Tursunbekov said.He also expressed readiness of Kyrgyzstan to host the 7th plenary session of TurkPA in late July.Additionally, Tursunbekov invited his Azeri colleagues to visit Kyrgyzstan as observers at the presidential election set to take place in the upcoming fall.Asadov, for his part, noted the positive impact of bilateral meetings on the expansion of ties in various fields.MPs Chynybai Tursunbekov (SDPK), Damirbek Asylbek Uulu (Kyrgyzstan) and Bakhadyr Suleimanov (Ata Meken) are on the official trip to Istanbul.
