Authorities began financial audit of former state TV chief

After the dismissal of Arif Alishanov, Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting CJSC (AzTV) has begun mass personnel reforms and an audit of the activities of the previous management, Report informs.

According to the information, the acting head of AzTV, Rovshan Mammadov, in order to ensure transparency, has begun to restore order in the AzTV financial system. Thus, he dismissed the head of AzTV financial management, Shahrza Aliyev, and his deputies. Also, an audit began on the activities of Sh .Aliyev and his deputies for the entire period of their tenure. By order of Rovshan Mammadov, a new head of AzTV’s financial department was appointed. Well-known for his proximity to the former head of AzTV, Arif Alishanov, Shahrza Aliyev had for many years managed the financial structures of many organisations and was involved in several scandals.

Employees of the News editorial staff were also dismissed, in whose work negative moments were noted. In addition, representatives of AzTV in some countries were recalled and dismissed. According to sources, personnel reforms in AzTV will continue.

It should be noted that on January 15, Arif Alishanov, head of AzTV, was relieved of his position by the order of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and Rovshan Mamedov became acting head of AzTV.
