Minister: About 15500 heirs of 10500 martyrs have been granted one-time payment

"It becomes clear that Azerbaijan has overstepped to a new qualitative stage characterized by continued improvements in social development as a result of social reforms program signed by the President Ilham Aliyev, which gives assurance that important steps towards ensuring social welfare will continue in the future."

Report informs that the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population Sahil Babayev said.

The minister noted that 85,4 % of program on granting one-time payment to martyrs' heirs has been implemented. In other words, 15500 heirs of 10500 martyrs have been granted one-time payment.

Babayev said that this year, the amount of minimum pension in Azerbaijan will be increased from 116 to 200 AZN, increasing by 72.4 percent, thus minimum pension will exceed minimum of subsistence for pensioners (149 AZN) by 34.2 percent.
