Envoy: S. Korean companies interested in projects to restore liberated Azerbaijani lands

Projects for restoring the liberated Azerbaijani lands may be of interest to South Korean companies with sufficient technology and experience, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Azerbaijan Kim Tong Op.


"The Azerbaijani side is also aware of the interest of South Korean companies in these projects. That is why our embassy received information from the Ministry of Energy about several projects that will be implemented in this regard, and this information was passed on to the relevant Korean companies,” the ambassador said.


During a recent meeting with Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Park Byeong-seug, who visited Azerbaijan, President Ilham Aliyev invited Korean companies to participate in projects to be implemented on the liberated lands.


Speaking about the areas in which the experience of South Korean companies could be helpful, the ambassador noted that companies from South Korea are very competitive in every project implemented in the liberated territories.


"There are a number of Korean companies that may show particular interest in such projects as the creation of a green energy zone, a smart city, a smart village, the construction of hydroelectric power plants, etc. Korean companies also have great potential in such areas as road and housing construction, construction and reconstruction of key infrastructure facilities,” the diplomat added.
