October 4 will forever remain in the history of Azerbaijan because on October 4, the city of Jabrayil was liberated from the invaders, and this victory had a great meaning, President of Azerbaijan, Victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev said as he met with representatives of the Jabrayil district community, Report informs.

"Because for the first time, the city and the district center were liberated in the first week of the war," the head of state noted.

"It gave additional strength and confidence to our Army, and after this victory, our glorious Army carried out its historical mission elsewhere. The people of Jabrayil are well aware that on the first day of the war, two villages of Jabrayil - Boyuk Marjanli and Nuzgar - and four villages of Fuzuli were liberated on the first day of the war, and this was our first success," the Azerbaijani leader said.

He noted that going back to a year ago, we see the greatness of our victory once again: "Because when the war broke out, of course, our daily activity was to consolidate the victory and liberate all the occupied territories. So, there was no time to analyze the successes achieved, and there was no need for that. But today, a year after the war and the liberation of Jabrayil, when we study it more precisely and clearly, we see that this victory was very important."
