Turkey to expand investment in Azerbaijani business

Within the Azerbaijan Investment and Culture Summit, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) under the Ministry of Economy Orkhan Mammadov and Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology of Turkey Cetin Ali Donmez.

The sides were briefed on the Agency's support and services to micro, small and medium enterprises and discussed expanding relations with the Turkish Small and Medium Enterprise Development Organization (KOSGEB) and the possibility of implementing joint initiatives.

During the summit, Mammadov also met with the head of the Investment Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey Burak Daglioglu.

Daglioglu stressed the importance of the summit in terms of attracting foreign direct investment to Azerbaijan and informing investors about the favorable business environment in the country.

The sides exchanged views on areas of cooperation within the Memorandum of Understanding signed between SMBDA and the Investment Office in December 2020, as well as opportunities to expand investment in the Azerbaijani business.
